The seventh Hawler International Technology Exhibition is taking place at the Erbil International Fairground from 6 to 9 October. Kurdistan24 reports participation by more than 150 technology companies and startups, with AI, cybersecurity, telecommunications and fintech among the programme’s main areas.
Kurdistan Region Investment Board chairman Mohammed Shukri told the outlet that displays included locally developed smartphone and smart-banking technology. The report does not identify their developers or document production volumes.
The exhibition combines product demonstrations with discussions on investment, digital identity and Iraq’s digital economy. Organisers’ projected visitor numbers are attendance expectations, not recorded commercial transactions; the report announces no sales or investment commitments.
