The company announced the leadership transition from Medhat Ismail.

Lafarge Iraq has appointed Tarek Sharobime as chief executive, succeeding Medhat Ismail, the company announced. IraqiNews reported the change on 1 October, and Lafarge’s own announcement welcomes Sharobime to the role.

The company thanked Ismail for his leadership and described continued growth of its Iraq operations as a priority under the new chief executive.

Lafarge Iraq, part of Holcim, supplies cement, concrete and dry mortar for construction. The announcement establishes a management transition; it does not specify a new investment budget, additional production capacity or a new project award.
