Iraq reports 1,120 TIR freight journeys in September

The transport ministry’s monthly count covers routes linking Turkey and Europe with Gulf markets and Jordan.

Iraq’s Transport Ministry reported 1,120 international freight journeys under TIR in September 2026, according to Iraq Business News on 7 October. It identified the General Company for Land Transport as the operator and Ibrahim al-Khalil, Safwan and Trebil as the entry and exit points.

The ministry’s route-level account places Iraq between European and Turkish cargo origins and Gulf and Jordanian destinations. The monthly total provides a dated measure of traffic on that overland network.
