2027 budget reporting puts oil assumption at $58 and spending at 217 trillion dinars

The reported draft combines exports of about 4 million barrels a day with a deficit above 40 trillion dinars.

Iraq’s draft 2027 budget uses an oil-price assumption of $58 a barrel and exports of roughly 4 million barrels a day, including Kurdistan Region volumes, according to OilPrice.com’s 6 October report. It puts planned expenditure at 217 trillion dinars and attributes a deficit exceeding 40 trillion dinars to lawmakers.

The export and price assumptions imply about $84.7 billion in annual gross crude receipts over 365 days, before discounts, transport costs and other adjustments. This is arithmetic using the reported parameters, rather than a confirmed net-revenue forecast.

The figures describe a draft, not enacted spending authority. The report does not identify the lawmakers behind the deficit estimate or provide the underlying budget tables, leaving the expenditure composition and financing breakdown unestablished in that account.
