GE Vernova said in February 2025 that it had completed upgrades at Al Mansouriya, Al-Quds and Dhi Qar and maintenance at several Iraqi power plants. The company also described a larger modernization programme involving 46 gas turbines across twelve plants, with further work expected by summer 2025.
The release reports maintenance across plants with a combined capacity of 3.7 GW. That is the capacity of the plants serviced, not newly installed generation. Its headline and body also use different formulations for an aggregate projected output gain, so this briefing does not state a definitive total for that projection.
The announcement is evidence of the company’s reported milestones and plans at the time. Later completion, dispatchable output and availability would need separate dated operating evidence.
