Midland Oil Company says pumping has begun into well P-07 at Badra oilfield at 100 cubic metres a day. A statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency on Thursday, 8 October, targets a gradual increase to 800 cubic metres a day by the end of March 2027.
The company reports that a dedicated pumping station and surface pipelines are in place. It describes the pilot as reservoir-pressure support intended to improve well performance.
The announcement does not identify the injected medium, contractor or project cost, and reports no measured oil-production response. The 800-cubic-metre rate is a target rather than current throughput.
